He is a graduate of the Certified Instructor Course in Dog Training offered by the award winning Command Dog Training School, one of the largest and most successful professional dog training schools in Melbourne.

In the Certified Instructor Course in Dog Training, Teck Woon was taught all aspects of being a good dog obedience instructor.

In addition, Teck Woon attended a kindergarten puppy training workshop which gives him further knowledge on the training of puppies. The speakers in the workshop included Basil Theofanides, training director of the Command Dog Training School as well as senior instructors of the school specialising in puppy training.

Teck Woon is strongly motivated by his love for canines, and is an active volunteer with the Action for Singapore Dogs, a dog rehoming organisation.

Teck Woon believes in lifelong learning and that education broadens our career choices and knowledge. A graduate with a BSc (Computer and Information Sciences) (Hons) from NUS and a MSc (Financial Engineering) from NTU, Teck Woon followed his heart and chose to go into dog training because of his passion for dogs. Doing what he loves gives him great competitive advantage and he gives his best because he finds it the best way to enjoy his work. With his strong education background, he is confident of instructing dog owners in the art of training their dogs and solving dog behavioural problems.

Teck Woon is very keen in competitive obedience and is currently training his personal dogs for the obedience trials organised quarter-annually by the Singapore Kennel Club. Guiding him is his mentor, Mr Tan Pak Song, an experienced obedience competitor and judge.

Teck Woon lives with Buster the Singapore Dog and Prime the Border Collie.
