Buster was adopted from the Singapore SPCA and was chosen because he is an active dog and is friendly with both humans and dogs. He is extremely food motivated and works very well to get his reward. He helps out in the business by being a demo dog. In March 2004, Buster helped out the Mongrel Appreciation Club by performing some tricks during an interview with Channel NewsAsia. As a result, he was featured in the news together with the other mongrels in the club. His achievements in the obedience trials organised by the Singapore Kennel Club are as follows:
